Brief:
For this Northmead property, the clients sought to execute their architect’s vision for a modernised family home. The brief included the construction of a first-floor addition as a parents’ retreat and a ground-floor extension to enhance the living and entertaining spaces.
Outcome:
The renovation delivered a striking transformation. On the first floor, we constructed a luxurious parents’ retreat, which includes an open-plan bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and a study nook for added functionality. The ground floor was extended to create a seamless open-plan living area that connects to an alfresco entertaining space, perfect for family gatherings and outdoor dining. A sleek new kitchen was integrated into the ground floor, combining contemporary design with practicality.
The addition of a custom staircase with timber and glass accents ties the two levels together, creating a cohesive and stylish focal point. The alfresco area, with its bi-fold doors and covered patio, enhances the home’s connection to outdoor living, making it ideal for year-round use.
